After a quick trip to Nassau in the Bahamas to shoot a local TV show (Controversy TV), a 30 min program fully dedicated to the Raelian Movement, and a 2 hours Radio Talk show (Real Talk Live), Andre Julien, National Guide for the Bahamas and Cayman Islands went to visit the latter for the very 1st time to give a free lecture on 5 August. He tells us:
"My stay in the Cayman Islands started with a significant challenge as the only 2 newspapers there refused to publish a paid ad of the lecture. It seemed an uphill battle to make the Messages known in this ultra British style conservatism but there was a little light, a young Caymanian wrote to Maitreya Rael this touching message last year:
'My name is Craig, I'm 18 and I live on the smallest island in the Caribbean named Cayman Islands. I'm sending this letter because I really wish to help and accelerate humanity, but I'm stuck ... I've been thinking about committing suicide ... I don't wish to see our beautiful planet go down to nothing, all of the Elohim's beautiful work wasted. I'm very depressed because this world offers no love except money and I want to help make this world happy and loving so that the creators may return...'
This S.O.S. call is symptomatic of what many young people feel in these Christian dominated islands which offer very little hope. Thankfully, the Messages received by Maitreya Rael offer this new hope to young people, with the possibility of a fantastic future for all. Craig now 19 was so happy to meet a Raelian for the first time and helped to hand out hundreds flyers to make the lecture known, in spite of the censorship of the newspapers.
The lecture went very well with 27 people attending, including some very interested young people, who also found a renewed hope.
Finally some media could not resist talking about the Raelians. Cayman 27 TV aired a news story and even a newspaper that refused our paid ad ran a piece on us!
Raelism is slowly but surely establishing itself as the world religion of the 3rd millennium, with answers for young people and a philosophy fully in tune with the scientific era we have entered."
