Tonyp Question to Sally Kern: what’s the BIG DEAL?
The Raelian philosophy states that homosexuality is as natural as heterosexuality; it is genetically coded in some of us and should be regarded as one of the many colors that make our humanity so beautiful. A few years ago, Raelian gays and lesbians have created an association called Aramis, to promote the right of homosexuals and Tony Perry is the head of the US branch of this association. Here is what he had to say about the latest outrageous statements of US representative Sally Kern…
“What’s the big deal? This is the question that comes to mind every time I read a statement from some individual or group that has anything negative to say about homosexuality and equality for all human beings. What’s the big deal? Can they honestly answer this question?
Recently, comments made by republican state representative, Sally Kern, stirred massive controversy concerning her “biblical” views on homosexuality and the negative effects it has on society. She claims that "It's about the church having the right to speak out for the redeeming love of Jesus Christ Who died to set us all free from sin. The Lord gave me a verse I've been claiming. Philippians 1:12, 'I want you to know that what has happened to me has really served to advance the Gospel.'" She also adds; "according to God's Word”, homosexuality is "not the right kind of lifestyle" and that "the homosexual agenda is destroying this nation." She warned about the advancement of homosexuality in the public schools and in the political realm and said homosexuality "has deadly consequences" and the lifespan of homosexuals "is shorter." Worse yet, Kern remarked; “homosexuality is ‘the death knell for this county’ and labeled it the nation's "biggest threat," "even more so than terrorism."
Wow, now that is a pretty bold statement! When will the lives led by others be just that: their own?
